After two seasons without a title the quest continues for the Cardinals to regain Championship form.

The 2014 season ended with the Boston Red Sox routing the St. Louis in game six of the World Series to win the title.

The Cardinals have since lost Carlos Beltran to the Yankees. David Freese has been traded to the Los Angeles Angels for Peter Bourjos. Adron Chambers was cut from the roster a week after the World Series. There are only eleven Cardinals from 2011 World Series team left on the roster.

With every ending there’s a beginning, The Cardinals new look roster is young and interesting. The signing of Jhonny Peralta to shore up the SS position has been controversial for his 2013 PED suspension. Oscar Taveras being called to the Major League has the fan base buzzing on how good he could be. Even with a mistake filled first season Kolton Wong is still an interesting position change in 2014.

The bullpen is full of hard throwing young arms and Lance Lynn. I’m giving them the nickname “The Hellpen and Lynn” for the heat those guys can give. The question is who’s a starter and who’s not?

The last three years the Cardinals have been title contenders. 2014 should be interesting as most teams window of success usually closes in two to three season. One can only wonder till April.
