The Over Hype of Andrew Luck

The Andrew Luck hype machine continues with amazing come back.

The Colts come back against the Chiefs was nothing short of amazing. I was watching the game and I looked up and noticed the Colts had made it a game. This was insane to me, I was watching the game wondering how this happened. Then the bomb to T.Y. Hilton took things to legendary status.

Yes, it was great. It remind me of the 2006 AFC Championship game, another great comeback. But what would ensue was Andrew Luck becoming Joe Montana in the media. While Alex Smith was ripped by the 49ers fan base.

The media’s obsession with crowning Luck is getting out of hand. He thrown three interceptions while his team was trailing the last while they were down by 28. Can we please wait until he wins something important before we get his bust ready in Canton.

Skip Bayless recent ESPN article elaborates on Luck’s below average play.

This season, Luck has thrown for 300 or more yards only three times — all spectacular losses, 38-8 to St. Louis at home, 24-20 to Miami at home (when Ryan Tannehill outplayed Luck) and 42-28 at Cincinnati.
In the past two seasons, he has had four three-interception games in the regular season, second-most in the NFL to … Eli, with six. Last season, his rookie year, Luck had the NFL’s second-most turnovers, 23, just three fewer than Mark “Butt Fumble” Sanchez. At New England last year, Luck threw two interceptions returned for touchdowns and lost a fumble at his 24 that Brady immediately turned into the break-it-open touchdown. Patriots, 59-24.

The game in Foxborough is a much bigger step obviously as Luck’s legacy grows larger after each playoff game.
