The 2019 Dallas Cowboys hit a speed bump early in their season with losses to the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints. The outcome has many national outlets claiming the Cowboys are not one the top teams this season because of the struggles with the change in competition.
I have never been one for speculation, especially this early in a season. The Cowboys are a very talented team and a very young team. The Cowboys are notorious slow starting teams under Jason Garrett. Their last three winning seasons, the Cowboys lost the first game.
Last season, the Cowboys were 3-5 mid-season before a seven-game win streak. This season is no different with losses during the previous two weeks. The Carolina Panthers beat the Cowboys in the first game last season starting 6-2, to eventually finishing 7-9.
The season is a marathon, not a sprint.
