The 2019 NFL Playoff picture is set. Twelve football teams will battle for a championship. Today we will ask not which team will win it all but which teams will fail to return next season.

The National Football League has the highest postseason turn over of the four major North American Sports.

Five playoff teams from the 2018 season did not make the 2019 playoffs: Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, Chicago Bears, and Indianapolis Colts.

Let’s look into the crystal ball and see who’s not going make the 2020 NFL postseason.

Buffalo Bills: The Bills had one of their best seasons in the past 25 years. Buffalo led by a strong defense and potent run game. Buffalo had a good coaching staff led by Sean McDermott.

However, the Bills young quarterback Josh Allen while improving overall this season, failed to complete sixty percent of his passes (58.8). I don’t see the Bills returning to the postseason in 2020, partly because of the New England Patriots.

Minnesota Vikings: Kirk Cousin won his first playoff game this year before the 49ers quickly ended their season. However, I don’t see the Vikings adding to Cousins’ total next postseason.

The Vikings have an aging defense with four free agents for 2020. The Vikings will still be $10 million over the predicted 200 million dollar cap.

Philadelphia Eagles: Philadelphia’s second straight playoff appearance since their super bowl win. The Eagles had an inconsistent season because of injury.

Just as the Minnesota Vikings, the Eagles an aging core specifically on offense. Left Tackle Jason Peters will be a 38-year-old free agent, wide receiver Nelson Agholor will also be a free agent. Desean Jackson will be 33 next season after only playing in two games last season. Pro Bowl-caliber Rodney McLeod is set to be a free agent from an injury-ravaged secondary to the previous two seasons.
