However, the Cowboys lacked the coaching staff needed to elevate the team to the Super Bowl. The 2016 and 2018 teams were beaten in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs. The Cowboys’ aging core of veterans struggles to stay on the field. For example, Leighton Vander Esch and Sean Lee miss multiple games every season. In addition, all-pro Tyron Smith’s lingering neck injuries.
Despite this, this year’s team will probably make the playoffs. The Cowboys offense this year is very dynamic and could go round for round with the best offenses in the NFL. The Cowboys have a strong core of young players. However, the Cowboys lack the all-around talent to compete with better teams in the NFL.
