Todd Gurley’s comeback season in the ATL continues. The Atlanta Falcons Running back has rejuvenated his career early in the 2020 season with the Falcons.

Gurley did not miss much time due to injury. However, Gurley’s usage did wane with the Los Angeles Rams in the 2019 season. A far cry from the 2017-2018 seasons where he led the NFL in rushing touchdowns. Moreover, less than his rookie season when he was offensive rookie of the year. The drop off was so evident sports media began to question whether his career was over.

This season with the Atlanta Falcons seems to be Todd Gurley’s last chance in his very young career, and early on, he has made the most of it.

In five games, Todd Gurley has:

  • the fourth-most rushing first downs in the NFL
  • 3rd in the NFL in rushing yards
  • averages 4.7 Yards Per Carry
  • 2nd in rushing touchdowns

Todd Gurley ran for 121 yards and one touchdown on only 14 carries, his longest carry being 35 yards. Gurley finished with 150 yards from scrimmage.

Despite the Falcons losing the game, Gurley is NFL Ground Player of the Week.

Todd Gurley is putting together a great campaign for the comeback player of the year.
