The Cardinals did something that they have not done in their 125-year history. The Redbirds won six straight road games, averaging 7.5 runs a contest.
The team record is now (19-14) giving them the National League Central division lead. The Cardinals are 16-8 since being swept in the Bronx last month.
This win streak came in spite of injuries in the outfield. Stephen Piscotty and Jose Martinez both on DL.
Tommy Pham and Magneuris Sierra gave the team a spark in their arrival in Atlanta. Jedd Gyorko is 6th in batting average in the National League.
However, the Cardinals pitching is struggling somewhat. Lance Lynn and Adam Wainwright both had shaky starts against the Florida Marlins. That Bullpen gave up a 4-run lead against the Braves.
Right now, the Cardinals offense is leading the charge in May.
